You Can Work Out With Rob Gronkowski and Venus Williams on Instagram Live Tomorrow

NFL superstar Rob Gronkowski will join tennis star Venus Williams to lead their fans in a free at-home workout on Friday, April 24, at 12 p.m. EST.

The session will be hosted by Williams on her Instagram account. The tennis champ has made her daily training sessions must-stream events during the quarantine period, using the tag #CoachVenus. She’s done workouts with supermodel Naomi Campbell, comedian Amy Schumer, her sister Serena, and more—fellow tennis pro Grigor Dimitrov even made news when he flashed his abs in their session. Now, she’s going to put Gronk to the test for a “Flex Friday” workout.

These live sessions has become a trend that celebrities have engaged with they—along with large portions of their fan bases—have been stuck inside during the quarantine. Mark Wahlberg has hosted two separate live workouts, while New England Patriots wide receiver (and former Gronk teammate) Julian Edelman hosted a Facebook Live workout with Planet Fitness. And although it wasn’t ‘live’, Chris Hemsworth also shared his quarantine at-home workout with his Instagram followers.

Gronkowski, meanwhile, has had an eventful past few weeks. He was revealed to be the White Tiger on the hit signing show The Masked Singer, then hosted and won big at Wrestlemania 36, taking home the 24/7 title at the event. But Gronkowski’s biggest move in 2020 came when he made headlines this week after football reporters broke that he’s returning from NFL retirement to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers alongside Tom Brady this upcoming season. (His workout with Williams is slated to be one of his first appearance since the news broke.)

Brady commemorated the news with a hilarious Instagram video summoning Gronk to be reunited with him.

“Time to run it back Gronky!” he captioned his post.

Gronk runs out of the woods to meet Brady, saying, “A little tired… but Gronk reporting.”

We’ll see if he’s in playing shape—and if you can keep up with him if you choose to follow along—when he joins Williams for the training session.
