With hotels and destinations offering spectacular fitness classes all over the world, it’s easier than ever for wanderlusters to stay fit while travelling.  We know it can be tough to find motivation to workout while on holiday, so we’ve put together a list of six workouts with incredible views that will transform your boring regular routine into an enjoyable experience.

Las Vegas – Heliyoga

When regular yoga just won’t cut it, why not practice on top of the Valley of Fire instead?  Las Vegas yoga studio Silent Savasana has partnered with Maverick Helicopters for a one-of-a-kind experience that takes visitors to the red rock formation of Valley of Fire State Park. Up to six guests will depart with a certified Silent Savasana yoga instructor to the Valley of Fire via helicopter where the group will land on one of the area’s highest peaks, offering uninterrupted views of the Valley of Fire. The 75-minute yoga session is taught through wireless headphones set to transmit a custom playlist and instructions. Following the session, the group will enjoy a champagne toast with a helicopter ride back over the bright lights of Las Vegas.

Butterfield & Robinson’s new India Walking trip

Dedicated to adding unique and authentic experiences at every turn, Butterfield & Robinson recently announced the India Walking trip for 2018. Focused on wonderful sights and cultural experiences, this trip is ideal for those who enjoy a good hike and a bit of yoga. Travellers can be prepared to set their sights on some of the oldest temples in Narlai before hiking up the elephant mountain.  For those looking to release some stress, the rolling, infinite views of the Aravalli Hills are the perfect backdrop for morning yoga.

Martial arts at YTL Hotels’ Spa Village Tembok Bali

Located on a beautiful volcanic black sand beach in a remote coastal village in north-eastern Bali, YTL Hotels’ Spa Village Resort Tembok Bali offers a rustic getaway in true Bali.  For those looking to get fit while embracing the local culture, the hotel offers a ‘Pencak Silat’ class which is a form of martial arts that is believed to have been introduced to the island from Java.  This isn’t your regular martial arts class as the local expert who teaches the class focuses on Balinese culture, introducing new moves and techniques.  The class takes place on the beach so guests can skip the cardio machines at the gym, and take in a scenic ocean view, guaranteed to uplift the mind.

Yoga and zumba overlooking Seattle’s city skyline

With sweeping city and water views, and an exhibition pavilion for art, performances and educational programming, the Olympic Sculpture Park is a must-see for anyone visiting Seattle. Yogis can kill two birds with one stone and head to the park on Saturday morning for a free outdoor yoga session at 9 or 10.30am. If you’re looking to get your heart rate up, there’s a Zumba session from 2 to 3pm. The best part? All the classes are free to the general public so there’s no excuse!

Windsurfing in New Caledonia

New Caledonia is known as the “windsurfing capital of the world” – and for good reason. The trade winds blow steadily and this combined with the stunning surrounding vistas and clear blue waters, makes it the perfect way to tone up those muscles whilst also soaking up some salt and sunshine. Boarding hot spots across New Caledonia include: Nouméa (Méridien beach, pointe Magnin); Islets around Maître island, Amédée island, Goeland island, Tenia island; Ouano at La Foa and Poé in Bourail.

Rock climbing at Enchanted Rock

Want a bit of adventure in your work out? In Texas Hill Country, the ancient Enchanted Rock, which is the second largest granite dome in the United States, is just begging to be climbed. Warm up with a hike up the summit trail and enjoy stunning 360 degree Texas Hill Country views, before gearing up, engaging your core and tackling the rock. Just be sure to take a breather every now and then – the views are fantastic.
