Haley Smith looked at photos of one of the happiest days of her life, and all she could see was her weight.
The 24-year-old psychology student has shared her inspiring weight loss journey with the world. The journey began when Haley’s boyfriend, Matt Smith, proposed in July 2015. It was seeing photos of her proposal that pushed Haley to overhaul her lifestyle.
“I saw the pictures and cried my eyes out. I didn’t even recognize myself,” Haley told Caters.
“I was fed up with getting chaffing on all of my body parts that rubbed and sweat,” Haley said. “I couldn’t sleep, had aches and pains all over my body, high blood pressure, poor complexion, heartburn and got headaches practically every day.”
“I decided to make my engagement year the year I made a change,” she says.
Haley has shared her journey on Instagram with a legion of fans, showing how hard work and determination can pay off.
Hayley worked out 5 times a week doing a combination of strength and cardio training, she also credits her new husband Matt’s unconditional love to her succes, with Haley saying:
“He even loved me enough to propose to me at my highest weight when I was feeling unlovable. He has seen me at my best and my worst.”

The couple are spending their honeymoon in New Zealand, with the fitness blogger admitting:
