Taking to Reddit, a man has revealed his weight loss transformation on the open forum where he dropped 6.7st in a year.
The user, under the name Fresnogeek, started his journey by switching to the keto diet.
Short for ketogenic diet, the keto diet is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet, similar to the Atkins diet.
By following this method, it puts your body in a state of ketosis, which it means it starts using ketone bodies – burning more fat.

He then began following the keto diet, which stands for calories-in-calories-out.
His clever shopping and cooking habits made sure he had healthy food to eat throughout the week.
In the post, which secured more than 1.2k upvotes, Fresnogeek added: “I grill chicken on Sunday and use it for dinner that night. I make bacon in the oven on Sunday’s too.
“Then I have six to eight chicken breast/thighs and a pound of bacon left over for use during the week.”
One of his recipes was a cobb salad with bleu cheese and bacon, with chicken added.
He explained: “Cut up the chicken into strips, reheat and toss/dip them in Frank’s Red Hot and melted butter.
“Grilled chicken tacos with avocado, sour cream, hot sauce, cheese in a butter lettuce leaf.”
What is the keto diet?
The keto diet, short for ketogenic diet, is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet, similar to the Atkins diet.
By eating a low-carb, high-fat diet it puts your body in a state of ketosis, which means it starts using ketone bodies – burning more fat.
However, the NHS advises that slimmers should follow a healthy and balanced diet to lose weight.
The website states that carbohydrates are important to your health for a number of reasons.
