Like father, like son! Jessica Simpson’s 5-year-old son, Ace, is already taking after his dad, Eric Johnson.
“Already borrowing his dad’s clubs,” the fashion designer, 38, wrote on Instagram on Thursday, May 23. “#AceKnute.”
In the video of her son, Ace prepared himself for a swing before the I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding author switched to slow motion. The golf ball sailed through the air as Simpson’s son watched.

The singer, who also shares Maxwell, 7, and Birdie, 2 months, with the former NFL player, 39, told Us Weekly exclusively in May 2018 that her eldest is following in her footsteps.
“[Maxwell] has a great voice,” the Dukes of Hazzard actress told Us at the time. “She’s pretty shy. Mom’s shy too, so you never know. You never know if you’re a born entertainer or not.” But if the little one does take after her mom in this way, Simpson told Us that she will “absolutely” support her.
Maxwell and Ace have one thing in common, though — they’re great older siblings. Both of the singer’s children have been “very helpful and sweet with the baby,” a source told Us exclusively in March after Birdie arrived. “They’re both very curious and like to be involved.”
Simpson added on Instagram: “I’m feeling thankful for these two older siblings looking over their new baby sister.”
When it comes to raising her brood, the Texas native doesn’t have the same parenting style as her husband. “Eric is more the disciplinarian,” Simpson told Us last year. “If my daughter asks for a dog, she gets one, and then Eric finds a way to make the dog not end up in the house.”
She and Johnson tied the knot in 2014 in Montecido, California.
