Carrie Underwood, 38, looks right at home while holding a freshly caught fish. She evenhas her hand in its mouth in a bunch of new photos. The country singer flaunted her washboard abs on Instagram in a highlight reel of her day of fishing trip.
The photos feature Carrie wearing a sporty black and white bikini while proudly showing off her catch of the day from all the angles. “Feeeeeeshies! 🐟🐟🐟 #CatchAndRelease #JustSayinHi #Outdoors #LakeLife,” she captioned the snap, and fans couldn’t help but notice how fit she looks.
“Yahhh! Looking good mama!” one comment read. “Okay abs miss girl!” another user wrote, and someone else seconded: “Girl forget the fish. Can we talk about how fabulous you look!! 🔥🔥” Yet another fan added, “Amazing! Also I love your abs and swimsuit!” To be fair, the fish isn’t exactly a whopper, so it’s not hard for Carrie’s abs to take center stage in all the photos. Her six-pack abs would get all the attention either way, tbh.

Naturally, you’re likely wondering how Carrie stays in such great shape. She told Women’s Health all about her workout routine. For her, fitness is about setting achievable goals. “I have to set goals for myself: ‘Every 15 minutes I’m going to hit 1.25 miles, then by the end of an hour I’ll have run 5 miles,'” she said.
The My Savior singer also mentioned that working out helps her manage stress. “I’d love to sit in a bubble bath, but that’s not going to happen. My self-care is my gym time, and that’s a stress reliever for me,” she said. “Physical fitness makes everything else possible.” She added that exercise helps lift her mood, too.
As for her diet, Carrie describes herself as a “wannabe vegan.” Her vegetarian staples include tofu, egg-white scrambles, green smoothies, and plenty of veggies. She also tracks calories and macros (a.k.a. how much protein, carbs, and fat she eats) using the MyFitnessPal app. She says her perfect balance is 45 percent carbs, 30 percent fat, and 25 percent protein.
But she also knows when to listen to her cravings. “I do have my vice,” she says, “and it’s red wine. It’s good for my heart, right?!” Carrie is also a fan of dark chocolate, and she tends to indulge while relaxing with an episode of The Bachelor. Yes, she will accept a rose for being super relatable.
