Aussie Mum Hits Back After Being Criticised For This Image Of Her Daughter

Jordyn Jones – the popular ‘Grammer who goes by @lifewithwinter – has hit back after a picture of her child was removed by Instagram because people complained about the colour of her skin.

When the mum-of-two shared an image of her two-year-old daughter on the beach on Monday, some began commenting about the child’s skin tone.

“It’s disgusting to see how dark your daughter’s skin is,” one wrote.

“Have you heard of suncream? How about you start using it before your kid looks 40 at four,” wrote another.

“Horrible mother.”

Instagram eventually removed the post after multiple people reported it.

“Woke up this morning to see my post had been removed from Instagram because more than a few people had reported it,” Jordyn wrote in a subsequent post to her 92k followers.

“I am disgusted at the thought that people who follow me condone that ladies [sic] bullying and racist remarks.”

“My child’s skin is beautiful, I take all necessary measures to ensure her skin is protected and I wake up every damn day striving to be the best mother possible. If you don’t like my posts or our skin colour offends you please just unfollow.”

Speaking to Mirror Online, she said: “I was receiving a whole lot of kind messages and decided to post the photo explaining that we have an Aboriginal heritage on my mothers side so our skin is naturally dark and tans no matter how much sunscreen and zinc we wear.”
