YouTube personality and internet heel Jake Paul has called Tommy and Tyson Fury’s attempts to call him out “embarrassing” and says “desperation is seeping through the pores of the Fury family.”
Paul’s claims come after the current WBC champion Tyson Fury posted a video on his Twitter page, challenging Paul to fight his brother Tommy, who is unbeaten in his first five professional bouts.
“It’s quite embarrassing,” said Paul,”the heavyweight champion of the world is on Instagram begging me to fight his brother.”
Paul said that rather than calling him out, the younger Fury should focus on the fight he has coming up, against an as-yet-unnamed opponent, and says that he won’t be considering a fight anytime soon.
“You’re literally picking someone to fight you in three weeks who hasn’t even been training. You don’t even have an opponent who’s been through a real camp.
“Fight someone real, do a real pay-per-view and then maybe we can chat. The last guy you fought was 0-9. The people you fought in total have a combined record of 15 wins and 250 losses.
“You come looking for me in Miami to ‘try and come find me’. You know damn well I’m not in Miami, I’m in Puerto Rico. If you want to pull up here I will gladly beat the f*** out of you.
“Until then just leave Shaq out of this. I already knocked an NBA player so leave Shaq out of this. You guys are desperate. Tommy, you fight for $100,000, you have some ladders to climb to get onto my level unfortunately my friend. I’m not talking about this any more, peace out. F*** you guys!”
Paul did have one more thing to say though, alleging that Tommy’s girlfriend, Molly-Mae Hague, once sent him a message on Instagram, asking if the two could meet.
Hague and internet sleuths say that message is photoshopped, but regardless, we’re sure Fury won’t be pleased with Paul’s message, and it’s likely he’ll back back in the gym before too long if he isn’t there already.
