This year, we have the good fortune of Valentine’s Day being on a Thursday. No, it’s not good fortune because you can now be wine-hungover on a Friday (which for some reason just feels less stressful than being hungover on a Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, though that’s great too). BUT it’s because it coincides with Starbucks happy hour!
Today’s promo fittingly offers buy one get one drinks. If you’re a loyal Starbucks-goer, you already know the deal, but if not, I will happily give you a refresher. Happy hour starts at 3 p.m. and runs until stores close. You have to be a Starbucks Rewards member to claim the coupon, and if you’re already one, the discount is in your app (or inbox) as we speak.
This particular Thursday deal applies to espresso beverages size grande or larger; buy one and you’ll get a second (of equal or lesser value) for free. It doesn’t count toward brewed coffee, ready-to-drink beverages, or Starbucks Reserve drinks, but it does apply to all the lattes, macchiatos, and flat whites you could want, including the limited-time Cherry Mocha.
Given all the sugar and heart-shaped foods sure to be consumed today, you’ll probably want a late afternoon pick-me-up. Just make sure you join Starbucks Rewards first.
