Guys, I have some very, very bad news: there’s a national chicken nugget contamination, and this sh*t is serious.
The USDA is encouraging people to throw out certain frozen Tyson chicken nuggets, per an announcement this morning. Specifically, Tyson recalled 36,000 pounds of their “White Meat Panko Chicken Nuggets” that were produced on November 26, 2018.
The agency reports the nuggets “may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically rubber” which they were alerted to after Tyson reported “[receiving] consumer complaints of extraneous material in purchased Panko Chicken Nugget products.” There have not yet been any reports of illness related to consumption of these particular nuggets.
According to CNN, the nuggets have a best-by date of November 26, 2019 and have a case code of “3308SDL03” on their labels. Their establishment number is “P-13556.” The nuggets in question have been shipped all over the country.
If you don’t want to throw the Tyson product out altogether, the USDA encourages customers to return them to the place they bought them from. But whatever you do, please don’t eat these nugs.
