Keeping his head up. Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is staying strong for the sake of his daughter, Ariana Sky, whom he shares with ex Jen Harley, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio Jr. told Us Weekly exclusively.
“He’s doing well. You know, he’s going through it,” DelVecchio, 31, revealed to Us on Tuesday, May 21, while promoting his upcoming F Cancer Jersey Shore party. “He’s on that right path too. He went to rehab and came back. He’s putting his daughter first, which is the most important thing. [He’s] getting himself right, putting his daughter as a priority. He’s still on that same path, which is great.”
The musician added that Ortiz-Magro, 33, has been filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation season 3 with the rest of the original cast, as well as Harley, 32. “She’s not really part of the show, but sometimes she does make a little appearance,” the Rhode Island native noted. “She is a part of his life … [and] you get to see our individual lives [on the reality series]. Pretty cool.
Ortiz-Magro and Harley’s two-year relationship was filled with many ups and downs, which started in April 2018. The reality star accusing the social media personality of cheating and the duo got into a physical altercation on Instagram Live as a result. They eventually got back together, but she was later arrested for domestic violence after she allegedly beat him up and dragged him with a car.
Despite Harley’s arrest, the pair rekindled their romance and spent July 4, Halloween and Christmas together with their daughter, now 13 months. They called it quits for good in January after fighting on New Year’s Eve.
Harley was arrested again for domestic battery in Las Vegas on May 16. According to court records, she was taken into custody and held on a $3,000 bond. A source told Us that Ortiz-Magro was in Kentucky at the time of her arrest.
But the MTV star’s tumultuous year did not end when he split from Harley. In February, he told Us exclusively that he checked himself into a West Palm Beach, Florida, rehab facility earlier this year.
“I decided to go to treatment because I wanted to be a better person, a better father for my daughter,” Ortiz-Magro confessed at the time. “Eventually, all the bad decisions I was making were going to lead me to places that I didn’t want to be. I wanted to be led to the place that I am now – that’s happy, healthy and the best role model for my daughter.”
DelVecchio will be headlining the first-ever F Cancer Jersey Shore party on Saturday, July 20. “I’ll be deejaying, obviously. Everyone can come and experience a Pauly D party,” the Double Shot at Love With DJ Pauly D & Vinny star told Us. “In able to get in, they just buy this Pauly D F Cancer limited edition T-shirt and all the proceeds of that go to the charity, to raise money for the event.”
