Whitney Bates Pregnant, Expecting Third Child With Zach After Miscarriage

Another Bringing Up Bates baby! Whitney Bates (née Perkins) is pregnant, expecting her third child with her husband, Zach Bates, after suffering a miscarriage.

In their Thursday, May 9, reveal photos, the couple posed in the grass with their son, Bradley, 4, and daughter, Kaci, 2, holding up sonogram shots.

The reality stars, who tied the knot in 2013, started growing their family one year later. They lost their third pregnancy in August 2018 — two months after their pregnancy announcement.

“During one of our ultrasounds we discovered our baby had stopped growing,” the UPtv personalities wrote on the Bates’ family blog at the time. “The tears started to flow and the kids could sense something was wrong. We were devastated and our hearts were shattered. Already, that little baby had changed our home, and our hearts. It’s amazing how you can love someone you’ve not met yet with all your soul and being.”

They added: “There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t think about what it would be like to have that sweet baby in our home. However, we know that God has a plan and his plans are perfect in every way, in every season of life, no matter if we understand them or not.”

Whitney, 25, and Zach, 30, aren’t the only Bringing Up Bates stars expecting a baby this year. Josie Balka (née Bates) and her husband, Kelton Balka, announced in February that they have a little one on the way.

“We can hardly believe it,” the mom-to-be, 19, told In Touch at the time. “We are already so in love with our little one and so very thankful to God for his blessing on our life as we start our little family.”

In their reveal photo, the newlyweds, who married in October 2018, cradled Josie’s baby bump while holding blue, pink and yellow balloons reading, “Baby Balka. Arriving July 2019.”
