There He Is! Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry Step Out With Royal Baby

Family time! Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have stepped out as a family of three, debuting their royal baby on Wednesday, May 8, inside Windsor Castle.

The Duke, 34, and Duchess of Sussex, 37, who welcomed their child on Monday, May 6, were all smiles with their little one. Meghan wore a white coat dress, while her husband sported a suit. He held their son, swaddled in a white blanket.

Harry gushed over his wife and son on Monday, telling press, “I haven’t been in many births. This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible. As I said, I am so incredibly proud of my wife and as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”

He and Meghan were in a “race against time” to get the little one’s room ready before his arrival, a source told Us Weekly exclusively in January.

“They’re working around the clock to make sure interior work on Frogmore Cottage,” including the nursery, can begin “the second contractors leave,” the insider explained at the time.

Meghan and Harry used to live in Nottingham Cottage, an apartment on the grounds of Kensington Palace, but the queen gifted Frogmore Cottage to Meghan and Harry, another source told Us in November 2018.

At the time, the royal pair confirmed their move with a press release. The source told Us, “There are 10 bedrooms, and the cottage does need some updating and renovations. It’s much bigger than Nottingham Cottage, which only had two bedrooms and was very tight.”

The couple moved in on April 3, another source confirmed to Us. “Now everything is all set up and perfect,” the insider said. “Harry and Meghan are very happy with how the cottage turned out. They are looking forward to really starting their lives together on their own.”

The new parents announced that they had a baby on the way in October 2018, five months after tying the knot at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” the Kensington Palace statement read. “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
